The Cat from Outer Space

A spaceship makes an emergency landing on Earth and is impounded by the U.S. military. Its pilot turns out to be a highly intelligent cat, Zunar-J-5/9 Doric-4-7, whose special collar lets him communicate with humans and perform remarkable feats. Nicknamed Jake, he enlists Frank Wilson, a scientist whose theories everyone else laughs at, to help him recover and repair his ship before his mother ship leaves the solar system, while the army and a team of baffled scientists try to catch up with them.
