The New Book of Knowledge
Groiler (2002)
One volume of Grolier's long-running children's encyclopedia, first issued in 1966 as successor to the Book of Knowledge. Articles are arranged alphabetically and cover history, science, geography, literature, art, music and sport, written by specialists at a range of reading levels. Entries build from a simple opening explanation toward more detailed material, so the same article serves younger and older readers. Illustrations, maps and diagrams appear on nearly every page, and each volume carries its own index with cross-references to the rest of the set
