The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend

Before he became the Legend, Druss was a young woodsman living quietly with his beloved wife Rowena in a mountain village on the edge of Drenai lands. When slavers massacre the village and carry Rowena off to be sold, Druss takes up Snaga, his grandfather's fearsome double-bladed axe, and sets out to bring her back. His quest leads him across the world, through pirate fleets, prize fights and a brutal war, and finally into the realm of the dead itself.
